Britain’s Got Talent star Ronan, 14, sang an a capella version of Silent Night at the event organised by the Ormiston charity.

Ronan Parke said after the concert: “I’m so pleased that I was able be a part of Ormiston’s carol concert.

“As a young person myself I feel proud to support a charity that does such great work with young people and their families. And the opportunity to sing in such a historic venue was something I couldn’t miss.”

Lady Xa Tollemache, president of the charity, hosted the concert on Thursday night.

She said: “It was a fabulous evening. The service was beautiful and the three performances made it really special. We are so grateful to have been able to host the event at Sandringham. The St Mary Magdalene Church was a fantastic setting. It’s wonderful to see people supporting Ormiston. We need a lot of money to support this wonderful charity and the carol concert definitely helped us to do that.”

All money raised from the event will enable Ormiston to continue making young lives better across East Anglia. The charity offers support to families affected by imprisonment, runs a variety of parenting support programmes and has initiatives to support gipsy and traveller families.

I really like it, though the chords in the verse are identical to Mistletoe by Justin Bieber. You can sing the verse to Justin’s song over it easily. But then that kind of stuff happens with a lot of songs. There are only so many chords I suppose…

Ormiston is delighted to announce that Ronan Parke, star of Britian’s Got Talent, will be performing at our carol concert on the Sandringham Estate next week. The teen sensation was a contestant on the ITV talent show last year, and will be closing the show on Thursday 13th December.

The appearance coincides with the release of his new single, Not Alone This Christmas; a collaboration with Luciel Johns. Ronan will also be signing copies of his new single on the night, meaning fans will be able to get their hands on the record before it’s officially released on 17th December.

Speaking about his new single and involvement in the Ormiston carol concert, Ronan said: “The track is fresh and exciting and really gets you in the mood for the festive season. I’m thrilled to be able to be a part of Ormiston’s carol concert; as a young person myself I feel proud to support a charity that does such great work with young people and their families. And the opportunity to sing in such a historic venue is really exciting.”
